Blue Shoe Plate Special

Tabitha Simmons is the woman behind the shoes below. Don't know who she is? Well, she's a stylist who has worked with top designers, like Zac Posen and Calvin styling their catwalk presentations and contributing to magazines like Vogue, Dazed and Confused, and Another before adding shoe designer to the resume. I believe it is a quite recent addition as I first saw a beautiful pair of orange-y red and purple suede wedges in the pages of high end magazine last fall (I sadly do not remember which). I love the classic shapes juxtaposed with an element of surprise like a whimsical embellishment or playful materials or a unique color palette. Personally, I love the cream and light blue wedge with striped heel. It's sporty, and feminine and playful which is quite the combination. I think the striped heel and cute colors keep the look interesting and from falling into anyone category. I also really love the white cutout cage like heel. I know the design is not exactly a typical cage heel design but I feel like if you took all the elements of a white picket fence and all that that can stand for and turned that idea into a modern heel this would be it. I also get a bit of an ethnic/ tribal thing going with it (it reminds me of a moccasin) but in a good way, like the tribe is from Cute-anda.
