Empire State of Mind

As Paris Fashion Week winds down this wednesday, I have decided to sort through all the shows of the four different fashion capitals and choose my top five for each. My criteria is based on the following: wearibilty, originality of design (silhouette, color, etc), evocativeness, and lastly that indefinable magical quality that makes you fall in love at first sight. These are simply designers I think have done an incredible job and at the end of the day I love and want to wear.I would love to hear your different (or same!) thoughts and opinions. In no specific order the top five are: Peter Jensen, Tommy Hilfiger, Marc Jacobs, Chris Benz and Halston. With the exception of Swedish designer Jensen, this selection shows that American Sportswear made a fine showing for A/W 2010.
